Ok. I bought a book with a linux CD in it. I didn't realize just how ****ING old this book was... it's linux 5.1

I try to boot it and it gives me this: "This is an invalid security catalog file"
So I try the method using floppies, I still can't get it to work. Wtf do I do? :(

If I were you, I would order a newer cd.

Edmunds Enterprises, Linux Central and Cheapbytes all have the downloadable CDs for sale at very reasonable proces/

If you have a fast connection and a way to burn CD iso images, you can get free distros from www.linuxiso.org. BTW, XP Home doesn't come with anything that will burn iso images and haven't seen any good programs for it, but if you use Win98, Easy CD Creator and probably some other free programs do it nicely.
