My system is Debian Woody and I recently changed video cards. Previously I had ATI`s Rage PRO, everything was just fine. Now, when I changed it to NVidia TNT2 get error message like process nice value set to 0 requested value -10.
I have /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config file and nice_value=-10 in it and /etc/X11/X points to /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 but still get this error message.
Can someone help ?

What version of XFree86 are you using?
because if your using version 3.x, changing
video cards, will lead to another installation of the appropriate XServer.

XFree86 4.1.0-16 it is. I am using gnome display manager (gdm), and gdm gives me that error message. IŽm sorry that I didnŽt mentioned that.
Well IŽll have some rest now and after that IŽll reinstall xfree.

did you reconfigure X after changing the card? If not then it is looking for your old card. Also you may want to change from the XFree "nv" driver to the drivers that nvidia supplies they are much better. You might also want to check out the driver support page to see how the support is for the tnt nvidia cards you may have to move up to XFree86 4.2 in order for them to perform properly.

Yes I changed XF86Config file, and havenŽt ever had problems with nvidia cards before.
