mandrake update port #

I'm trying to run guarddog on my mandrake 8.2 sys.
When I use the mandrake update it never finishes the database update. I think guarddog is blocking the port and I can't figure out which port mandrake update is using. Help please

Bring up Guarddog and click the advanced tab. Check the box "Disable Guarddog", run your updates and the do an about face on the procedure.
