Hi y'all,
Apologies if this has been asked before.
I'm running a 600 Mhz Pentium 3, currently plodding along with Windows ME, and have just fitted a new IDE controller card together with a 130 Mb HDD just for the purpose of experimenting with Linux. Problems is the Linux distros I've come across so far don't seem to recognise the card - an ACARD AEC-6280 (it gives UDMA 133 support and two extra IDE ports... very nice fast card by the way!). In other words, I've got all this hard drive space but the Linix installers that I've tried (SuSe 6.3, Mandrake 6) don't 'see' the drive.
Anyone know of a distro that works with this card, or can give me some idea how to get around the problem?
Thanks in advance
