Hey all,
I have a IBM PII350 with 512MB RAM running Redhat Linux 7.3 as a server only install.
I figured out how to get 'httpd' & 'dns2go'running at boot, but only by putting them in the file located at /etc/rc.d/rc.local
I'm not sure this is the correct way to do things :D
I'm also not sure why, but 'dns2go' seems to stop working after about 10 mins. I try to get to the site and i can't get there..........then i go to the linux box and type 'dns2go' at the root prompt and then I can get to the site...
Hmmm....
Not sure what to do. Is there a way to make httpd and dns2go run as daemons? Is there a reason that a service would just stop after a while?
I'm a n00b, and I really love this site. So thanks for all the help...past-present-and future!
On a side note ....
I get new mail everytime i logon. I go to it and it seems to be the same message over and over again. Is this normal? Is this how the system notifies you of stuff that's wrong?
Later for now :D
