Upgrading Apache help needed

I currently run Apache 1.3.24 installed from source and will upgrade to 2.0 source.

If I compile with same options for 2.0 as 1.3.24 (same directories ect.) after I run make and make install will i have 2 deamons??

Whats the best next step to insure I can have 2.0 server running and not 1.3.24?

The new install should replace your old binaries so I dont believe there would be 2 running.

You really should uninstall 1.3.24 first though. There are some things that change in version 2 and it might be a bit confusing with old files still there.
