Possible bug with deleting posts

I posted in a thread that wasn't the newest thread, making it the newest thread, and then decided that I wanted to delete my post. After I deleted it I noticed that the thread remained the newest as opposed to where it was before I posted.

Don't really think this is a bug but the behavior caught my eye...

I think it has to do with the UBB cache system.

it has been that way since before "the change"

ie since i got here back in august

it is a "feature" that is a secret (well not anymore) way to bump up an old thread without a trace (although i am sure sensei could sort through some log or sumptin and see the footprint or sumptin)
