I personally like SecureCRT (http://www.vandyke.com/products/securecrt/index.html).

PuTTY is sweet, can't think of an easier one to use, other than maybe TeraTerm. But then you have to install that and install the SSH module, which is a pain. I'd stick with PuTTY.

I'm not paying $100 for a windows SSH client! That's insane!

as long as you are using it for non-commercial purposes, I like the one put out by SSH.com. Downside to it is that it only supports SSH2, I have never gotten it to connect to a SSH1 server.

I like PuTTY, too. And that's all I have to say. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

While being on the topic of SSH and Putty, there is trouble sadly. I am running only SSH2 on my server and putty fails to make the connection key to the server. How do I go apon fixing this error for SSH2? Or should I also install SSH1? THanks for all advice. Though, SecureCRT works fine, just need Putty to work cause it fits my need better
Thx

Having never used putty, I am only speculating here. But I am guessing Putty has no support for SSH2 and your sshd has no suport for SSH1. If this is the case, I would put SSH1 on your machine, that way you dont have to worry about what client can connect to your computer.

But that is just my $.02.

telneat is the best. it supports ssh2, and is FREE.

telneat.lipetsk.ru

Check it out.

SecureCRT is best. I have to use it at work and it is the next best thing to being on a Unix box. I liked it so much I actually paid for it http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Did I do that?

I decided to try telneat but I am not getting it to run on a windows NT machine.
It seems to have a problem with the
TERMCAP = ansi or
TERMCAP = termcap or
TERMCAP = terminal

and stuff. What should the TERMCAP be set to on a windows NT machine? or Win98 for that matter? Thanks
