2.4.x and ipchains

Where in the "make menuconfig" can i enable the ipchains compability module? I have looked everywhere in the networking options, but i cant find it. Do anyone have a clue?

Networking options --> IP: Netfilter Configuration --> Select "M" or "N" for IP tables support (if you select "Y", then the compatability options don't show up. The ipchains and ipfwadm support options are at the bottom.

Is there any reason you're not switcing to iptables? It really is better.

The reason i want ipchains support is that i want to use my old ipchains based FW untill i find/make a good iptables one. Any recommendations?

Another question:
Do i have to add all new modules i have compiled with my 2.4.x kernel manually to /etc/modules , or is there an easier way?
It doesnt seem to have loaded all modules after bootup

I have the line "/sbin/depmod ip_tables.o" at the top of my firewall script, and that seems to take care of everything.

I got a firewall from freshmeat.net and seriously hacked it down a lot until it suited me. All the ones I've seen online seem really bloated. I think I used easychains, but I don't remember.
