is it possible (or even a good idea) to host a website off of a firewall?
i don't really need the firewall for security, it's more to learn how they work..
and i also want to learn how to use apache...
i want to have local access at first, but eventually i'm going to make it available off my network... is this going to be too troublesome to bother with?

or should i wait until i get my cable connection back (so that i have a static IP, i'm on DSL now) and my whole new network going..?

In a production environment it would be extremely stupid (and insecure) to have a webserver and a firewall on the same system. But since you are probably just hosting a personal site then it doesn't really make a difference.
