What directory should user "nobody" use?

My RedHat system uses "/" and I've seen "/home" and "/var/lib/nobody" also suggested. I'm sure good arguments can be made for each, unfortunatly I don't know what they are.

the "nobody" account shouldn't use an existing directory. Here in FreeBSD it is set to /nonexistant (which doesn't exist BTW :) )

Nobody doesn't need a directory. It really doesn't matter what you pick for it.
