While examining my Apache logs I discovered this: 61.144.141.102 - - [11/Aug/2001:22:08:20 -0500] "GET http://www.yahoo.com/ HTTP/1.1" 200 8203

How could I serve this it's not on my box?

It could be their web bot scanning your machine for websites to index. But I haven't seen a yahoo one before. I have the ones from google and web crawler all over my logs.

Yeah, I get those all the time. They usually ask for robots.txt not http 1.1.

The HTTP/1.1 is just the HTTP version header thing, not the document it's trying to request.
