Best security

My next purchase is going to be a 4 port switch.
It will probably be a linksys model.
Which is the most secure option:
The one with built in router/switch/NAT
or
Just a switch and my spare 486 as the router/NAT/firewall?

I am thinking the latter as it will be more configurable.

The Linux firewall will be more configurable. As for secure it depends on what rules you have in place. If you have the time and an extra box I would go with the Linux path. There are also lots of floppy/cd Linux firewalls out there if you don't want to build your own.
