I've started my veryown forum today. I installed apache, mySQL, php4, and this thing called zorum. My website seems to work... I gave a few freinds my ip address and they were able to connect and see my sites.
I assume this mean apache is working.
I'm doing this all under win2k... I have a dual boot right now and I find myself switching between the two quite often... I'm trying to bring continuity to my server.
i installed mySQL and its running fine (I think) and I installed php4 and its running fine (I think).
When i send my friends the link to my forum it doesn't seem to be loading for them.
php is working on my computer... i can go to my forum and do all kinds of things.
I read that I had to add some lines of code in apache to get my php working... I think I did that properly becuase the forum looks to be working.
Anywho... I'm not sure why my friends can't see my forum... All help is welcome... I'm sure something is just configured wrong.
If any of you out there are running a forum... I would like to know what your using software wise.
Also if you know of any good books on the applications above I would love to hear about them.
Thanks Again,
Will
