I've recently been looking into instaling and configuring a web-caching and filtering proxy server. I thought I'd found my answer with squid-cache and squidGuard. I'll agree, squid is a nice piece of software, but what the heck is it good for if you can't push things such as RealAudio and video conferencing through it? It just doesn't seem worth it if you can only use it as an HTTP proxy. Is there another GNU/opensource proxy server that will handle more than squid?
