was trying to get apache running and it said it couldnt find gcc anywhere....
so i downloaded it and am trying to run ./configure and dim gettnig this:

./config.guess: cc: command not found
Config.guess failed to determine the host type.you need to specify one.
Usage: configure [--host=HOST] ...etc....

im assuming i have to use some of those options but have no idea what to specify...

Hi,

As I too am a Apache newbie :(, I can only recommend that HOST means the name of your computer (type in hostname to find out).

Hope this helps!
