Description says it all. I went ahead and installed the latest path (being 1.29f) and then it would not start at all.
I'm running:

PIII 450
352 ram
voodoo banshee
mandrake 8.1
any suggestions would be helpfull. Sorry no cut/past of log but I'm at my work pc right now.

The latest patch for Quake 3 is 1.31 now, so you're a little behind the times. ;') Head over to Planetquake.com and they should have the linux patch link up for your convenience. Happy fraggin'!
