There is no real "linux version". You use the Windows installation CD(s) and an install script from Loki (that's available for free download). It installs the game as a native Linux binary, and it copies the Windows data files off the CD(s).

Do you always double-post on LNO and on LJR?

sometimes you get answers from one, not the other.

www.planetunreal.com (http://www.planetunreal.com) has some instructions to install UT onto Linux. I can't remember where to find them (I have it printed out at home), but it involved doing a full install on a Windows machine and moving the whole directory over to the Linux machine...Probally Loki's patch is in there also...

You can get the Linux version of UT at Tux Games (http://www.tuxgames.com/details.cgi?gameref=32&id=54188&nc=1004551007) for $20.

is there any way to get Unreal (not tournament) to run in linux? especially Return to Na Pali, the program looks very similar. Possibly putting the .o files (and executable) from UT into the Unreal dir.

Yes, there is:
http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/Forum12/HTML/000405.html

It's in the "old" section of the BB, so I'm not sure how long it'll stay, but it's there for now.
