I remember seeing his some time ago, and that it was 80% done but wtf is it? I don't see it. *sigh* maybe I'm seeing things.

It runs just fine under wine, why don't you just give it a try? It's really not too hard. There's a good howto on www.linuxgames.com (http://www.linuxgames.com)

No you didnt see things. There is a version of CS for linux in development and the link I believe was posted somewhere in this forum. I have it bookmarked on my other system but that system is fried. If I find the link I'll let you know.

The reason I can't install HL (or any game under Linux for that mater) is because my video card doesn't support OpenGL (I hate Compaq). Without OpenGL there's nothing I can do, and I've tried buying a new video card but compaq made this (*&#(*&#@$ computer (*&@#($*&# un-upgradable. Hi.

since when does Half-Life require OpenGL?

Half life for Linux requires openGL, as does UT. There's no Direct3D layer for linux so OpenGL is the only choice... I don't remember seeing anything about Software mode in the Half-life howto.
