I got the demo... un tar/gzipped it... when into System... and ran UnrealTornyment...

when i did this i got an unreal type logo with a penguin on it to pop up then i got this:

gd error (glide): Can't find or access Banshee/V3 board
Aborted

... what do i have to do to get ut to install/work/allow me to game.

I'm using xf864.0.3, the 2.4.4 kernel, and I get he message wether i have libglide2*, libglide3* or both installed.

I'm also using debian, and I have quake3 working so this all confuses me.

Thank you.
Will

You may need to explicitly point to a gl lib to get it working. Been a looong time since I installed the demo tho.

Its in the readme. Something like

ut +setGlRenderer /my/path/to/libGl.so

completely wrong syntax, but that is the basic idea of it.

If you can't find it, post again and I'll check tonite when I am at home.

when you say you used opengl mode does that mean you changed the UnreaTornyment.ini... or does it mean you remove the libglide2,3 stuff and install mesa... or does it mean that when you installed it you just chose the opengl rendering option instead of the glide one... does the utdemo/realversion install the glide or opengl when you chose wich one to use or does it use the one on your system?
