UT 436 installer

I'm trying to install Unreal Tournament. When I run the 436 isntaller, it gets the point where it asks me to mount cdrom 1. My cdrom is already mounted, but the istaller doesn't find it. Is it beacuse I only have one cd when there should be two? I got my copy bundled with my sound blaster live and it only had 1 cd. Is there some other installer i should use?

the Game of Year edition has 2 CD's...dont know about the original :confused:

I think you can specify where your cd is mounted. You need to have the full windows cd and the 436 installer from Loki.

Am I missing something? The 436 installer seems simple enough, but there's no option to specify where the cd is mounted.

An yes, I have the full retail CD, but it came with my sound blaster live.

Dunno. I always mount my cd at /mnt/cdrom and have never had a problem with it.

Since I am in the middle of redoing my system, I'll move my cd to /mnt/foo or something and give it a whack and see. Deatils tonite around 10:30 or so - gotta wait 'till the baby is asleep.

WOrked fine as both /mnt/foo and /mnt/cdrom

No, I have the "regular" version. Only diff between that and the goty stuff is extra maps, etc.

Have you checked Loki's website to see if they have anything of note? Also, you may want to check their newsgroup server (news://news.lokigames.com)
