I apt-got tuxracer but when I run it, it gives this error:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display "0:0".
What do I need to do to enable GLX on my xserver?

I'd like to know also. In one box (Debian Woody)I have an AOpen S3 something rather with XF86_4.02. In another (Progeny Debian) I have an ATI AIW(RageII 3D/Mach64 chip) with XF86_4.02. I also have a Voodoo3 3000 I just got, but haven't decided which box to put it in(W9x, W2K, Woody, or Progeny). I want to play Tuxracer, but pretty much given up after I couldn't find any good documentation on setting up GLX. Most of it was for 3Dfx, so I might put the Voodoo in one of my linux boxen. But, if I can get Tuxracer working with my ATI AIW, I'd prefer the Voodoo in a W9x box, for 'other' games.

For the Rage II if it is going to work with 3D, you will need Mesa and XFree86 3.3.6.
Some new distros like Mandrake 8.0 will set it up for you.
