Has anybody tried running RollerCoaster Tycoon via WINE yet?
I finally got it to run :) It runs slow, but it runs! The sound is fine but the video is very choppy, but playable.
Unfortunately, it won't load any of my saveed games. I'll save that for another day. Now if Loki would port the game, that would be cool
In case any of you haven't tried RC Tycoon via WINE yet, I'm just letting you know it worked for me.
command line: change to RC tycoon installation directory and type
wine --debugmsg -all rct.exe
Unfortunately, I haven't got Alice running yet as it complains about "unloding a debugger first" :(
I'm using a build of wine 20010418 from source in case anybody needs to know...

You people are lucky you got that far... I can't even get through installation without it failing with errors

No it hasn't. Their product page lists Railroad Tycoon 2, but not Roller Coaster Tycoon. It would be nice if loki would make the game binaries available without the data, kinda like what doom and quake 2 have done. I own some of the games on their page, and I'd like to play them on linux, but I'm sure as heck not going to shell out more money to buy another copy of a game I already own.

Well, this thread was three years old, that's likely part of the reason that they could get it to work.
