Network games between Linux and Windows

I've got my windows machine and linux talking over my LAN.. but i was just wonder if it is possible to play games like QuakeIII and stuff over a network?

Loki makes sure that their games are compatable with the windows counterparts. The only problem I've ever ran into is that the linux machine needs to type in the IP address when joining a game.

Otherwise, there's no difference.

how the hell did you manage that ? i am on a LAN of 5 comoputers 4 of them are windows and i am Linux and i have no idea on setting them up to talk the each other
