QuakeIII runs better in Mandrake 8.0 than it did in winblows. Thats it.

I get about the same frames/sec, but I noticed a big difference in hard drive crunching.
For example, when a new player joins, in windows, when I'd look at the scoreboard, it'd crunch for about 5 seconds while it loaded the model. In linux its instant. One little crunch and it's done.
