can you PLAY half life on linux?

I've seen servers for linux, but can you play half life in linux?

I really want to play counterstrike..

There is no Linux binaries but with a little luck and expertise you can make it run with WINE which is a kind of Windows emulator. Once i came a cross a page wich had a script or program (don't remember) which handled the expertise so you only needed the luck. I don't remember the adress but I think you can find a link to it at linuxgames http://www.linuxgames.com

You "Can" play half life in linux with wine. It's a little complicated, and has it's own set of bugs. If you have an Nvidia card give me an email, I'll help you set it up. (I dont' know how to set up 3dfx, matrox or ati card.)

I need someone to go to codeweavers.com and download their source code for wine (its in an rpm says like 'src.rpm' ) I have a problem openning it (rpm -i codeweavers&lt;date&gt;.src.rpm) It talks about post dates that are in the future which inhibits me from "make"ing the files. I have it running on Debian Unstable.. (I compiled wine from cvs source though). Works great... you MUST make sure to compile wine with opengl though.. that was my mistake the first time..
