Thanks Inctoan 05-30-2001, 09:55 PM Short answer, nope Sorry MrNewbie 05-31-2001, 12:15 PM Well WINE it is as I have read that it works well. Though I have a question, I'd rather apt-get wine in Debian than compile it from cvs or a source tarball but I read that it needs to have open gl support compiled in so if I apt-get it will opengl support be included? I'm running unstable/testing debian if that matters. Thanks a lot Bradmont2 05-31-2001, 12:51 PM I don't think the apt packages have opengl support included, but you never know. Compiling from cvs is how I did it; it works well. One thing you might want to do to help set it up is install tux racer. I did that before seting up Counterstrike on wine, and all since tuxracer uses many of the same libraries it made it easy to know that I had them all installed. Anyway, you don't have to do it this way, just a suggestion, but it worked for me ;) Droo 05-31-2001, 03:16 PM I'm still very new at Debian, but can't you apt-get the source? I thought that the source packages have a script that will build a .deb file you can use with dpkg. Just a thought, since I assume you want to make sure all your major packages are managed by apt. MrNewbie 05-31-2001, 03:46 PM Yeah I'd like to have all my major packages managed by apt but I may as well follow the How-To with this one. I have Tuxracer and UT working so everything's fine there, I got the cvs and tried to compile but I got an error, as soon as I figure that out I'll be fine I think. Thanks Bradmont2 05-31-2001, 04:59 PM Originally posted by MrNewbie: <STRONG>Yeah I'd like to have all my major packages managed by apt but I may as well follow the How-To with this one.
