can someone tell me if there is a guide that shows how to get glquake running properly with a nvidia chipset based graphics card (riva tnt2) because the one at linuxquake.com only shows how to configure one using a 3dfx

Check over at http://www.quakeforge.net - updated source that you can compile, and it should work. www.linuxgames.com (http://www.linuxgames.com) had a nice little article on getting it going as well.
