I have found that my quake three delivers an enormous and "phwoar"! eighteen seconds per frame. That's right seconds per frame.
Spec:- SB16 PCI (yeah old tech new card!!)
Athlon 755 (slot) - 384 MB RAM RedHat 7.1. Tried a kernel recompile to the newer 2.4.5 from 2.4.2 (I think) for the sake of trying to get the RW bit working under cdrecord and Gtaoster - didn't work (yeah scsi emultn).
Lost four "OK"'s in boot sequence for bothe old and new kenerls. pants. Now gterm don't work in Gnome, Xterm(colour) is ok though.
Am running with a Voooodoooo 3 PCI. It's probly running it software. So I am looking for a loadable kernel module to help me acheive at least 18 fps? HELP!!!
