Greetings,
Just got CS working with Wine on my Windows partition, runs well, but the sound drops out. Just wondering if anyone might have a couple of ideas I could try?
I have tried setting ESD to standby ("esdctl off"), doesn't seem to make any difference (read in the HL howto that ESD can affect things).
I am thinking it could be my sound drivers as I am using Aureal (http://aureal.sourceforge.net) drivers to drive my Diamond Monster 200MX. Wine complains about not being able to fragment the sound driver enough, and this causes problems...
I get sound in the menu, just not ingame, when ya need it. ;)
Might end up having to configure a secondary card for CS... hmmm.
Cya round
