Okay, I need a decent 10/100 PCI NIC card. I have this POS Kingston card that I can't get working under 98, as the driver won't recognize the card, nor will their utility program.

Anyone have one? It's for a Windows box, so no worries about it working under Linux. Just has to be 10/100 PCI. Have some stuff to trade:

Celeron 400mhz Socket 370 (have slot adapter)

Various CD-ROMs (probably 20-32x I'd imagine)

DVDs

Games - Tribes 2, Max Payne

Let me know.

i think i have an extra realtek. i'm not sure about the speed though. i'll try and remember to check when i get in.

i've got a pile of nics, i'm sure i've got at least one 10/100 (at least, one that i don't need :D).

for ten bucks you can go out and buy the netgear fa311 card.. Thats what i have, and it is a pretty good card. What i would do is go for a 3com though. They seem to make the best card in my opinion. i think they are like 20 bucks or something.. but they are well worth the extra money, windows and linux both love them.

I have a few spare D-Link dfe-530tx+ cards. I know for a fact they will work under windows 98 as I have used this series almost exclusively (I built my family's home network). It also seems to have pretty good linux support at least on fairly recent distro's. Other than that I have at least
one linksys lne100tx card (I forget what
version) and a wierd winbond chipset card
that I could net get to work at first, but
a friend did. If you don't need 100basetx
then I could get you a 3com 3c509 series
card.
