I got my hands on these little machines, just for this board, I think they'd make excellent webservers, or routers, or whatever. I personally have a couple, my router is one (running OpenBSD), webserver (FreeBSD) and a linux box (slackware).

All that you need to add to these machines are ram, hard drive, and processor.
- Onboard Sound
- Onboard NIC (Intel 10/100)
- Onboard Video (ATI)
- 2 USB Ports
- 2 Expansion slots (2 ISA, 2 PCI, shared)
- Supports up to 233mhz
- Supports up to 256mb ram
- Supports hard drives larger than 8gb
- Heatsink and fan included
- All cables are included (floppy, IDE)
- Dimensions are 4x11.5x14
These make awesome little machines. Everything's linux compatible in them. They're very small, easy to fit in tight places. One of my linux boxes is one of these with a K6-2 233mhz, 256mb ram, 15gb IBM deskstar, and it works perfectly. I don't know if 233mhz is the max, as I've never tested it past there, and I don't know what the ram and hard drive limit are.
I also have the restore CDs for these if you decided to run windows. I'm asking $35 for these, just to get my cost out. I only have eight available. For under $100, you can have an awesome machine.
I'll throw a Pentium 100 in for an extra $2, and the matching keyboard and mouse for an extra $10, but I only have two sets.

I forgot to mention that shipping is actual shipping costs from Champlin, MN 55316 plus $5 for packing and handling and that kind of junk. You can choose the shipping method, insurance, etc.

What is the exact price you where looking for? Oh and is it a socket 5 or 7?

Stupid question.
Where do the floppy and CDRom go. I saw no external spots for these two items.

It's socket 7, and there's a external 5.25 bay, and an external 3.5 bay, as well as an internal 3.5 bay. The face kinda pops off and allows for the installation.
The cost is $35... unless you want it with a p100 or with the keyboard and mouse.

Do you happen to know what motherboard is in it, so we can take a look? This would make a kick *** linux router for my 333. Does it support dimms?

Set one aside for me with the P100 chip if you have it and I'll send you $40.
Email me.

The mother board's model is V59LA, it's the ALI chipset. It only supports DIMMs, it has two slots.
Some people are confused about the costs. The machines are $35 just as they sit. Add an additional $2 for a pentium 100 chip, and an additional $10 for the matching keyboard and mouse. So if you wanted one machine with a pentium 100 chip and the keyboard and mouse, it would be $47.
Also, shipping is the ACTUAL shipping costs from Champlin MN 55316 to wherever you want me to ship it to, plus $5 for packing and handling and everything (packing boxes and bubble wrap I have to pay for from my work, sorry!).. So if you want me to ship it USPS priority to Chicago, and it was $7.55 to do so, total shipping would be $12.55...
I hope I'm not too incredablly confusing! :)

I'm pretty sure mangeli was making you an offer for $40, I don't think he was confused. Mangeli?

Correct. I want one of the boxes, maybe a chip. I'll pay 40 dollar plus the shipping.

$40 for the machine and a proc? Where am I shipping to, and how do you want it shipped? You can just email me at chasegeek@yahoo.com, and I'll get you a final quote.
Thanks!

Alright guys, I've got five of these left.. and I think I've replied to everyone that's mailed me..
UPDATE:
Well, it looks impressive so far :D:. It is indeed a small box, and probably weighs as much as my T-bird's mid tower when it's empty. Mine came with the P100 chip (ZIF socket), and fan. There are two RAM slots; the two PCI slots, and one ISA slot are on a daughter card. There's a master power switch near the plug on the back, and another switch in front. I can't wait to get it fired up... Finally; a dedicated firewall/gateway :D:. I've never set up a firewall before either. More Linux challenges to come ;). Good deal Chase. Thanks.
