something around 8-12 ports would be nice.

i'm assuming my p90 gateway i'm building can sufficiently double as a decent lan-party server should the need arise? be pretty cool i'd think to have a dhcp server everyone can plug into real easily, for lan gaming or for bringing people over to mooch the cable connection for an evening.

I've got a 4 port 10Base-T Netgear hub; it's only 4 port though. I'm not expecting much for it if you're interested.

did you say an 8 port switch? that is a pretty good price.

i'll hafta query the hardware or networking forum for the difference, i know i always see switches recommended over hubs.
