Hey all, I'm seriously considering selling my laptop (the new Dell 1GHz have me drooling!).
(Gateway Solo 2500XL) PII-266, 64MB RAM, 13.3' screen (1024x768 - haven't found a single dead pixel), 2MB video ram (NeoMagic 128xd), 6.4GB hard drive, internal 20x CD-ROM, internal LS-120 floppy drive, Li-ion battery (usually >3 hrs battery life), AC adapter, Linksys 56K + 10/100 combo card (the one that doesn't require a dongle)
The system works well. Haven't had any problems with it. I've gotten lots of use out of it. Also, linux works on it - I've had Mandrake running when I actually had time to play with it. H-Disk is currently formated 3.3GB Win98 (Fat32), 3.1GB linux (ReiserFS). I'll include Win98FE CD + All driver CDs (I can also download the latest driver versions and burn them if you like). Also set of Mandrake CDs if you want (I think I have a couple versions of it, including the latest). Plus you can have a couple LS120 floppies that I have laying around. (BTW - perfect size for a mini linux distro similar to the ZIP disk version)
It's a good system, and I would keep it if I wasn't so tempted by the latest and greatest! :p I've seen similar models available from laptop resellers for about $650 without the modem or enet card. So I'm asking $700 for the entire system.
Anyone interested? post here, or email me:
