For the tape drives and the tapes, I'll bid $120, a Super Nintendo (with Chrono Trigger and a bunch of other RPGs and a few other games), a poster of a cat in a fishbowl, an $80-retail juice-making machine (As Seen on TV!), and a $40-retail Ab-Roller exercise machine (As Seen on TV! Only used twice!).

needs to be rma'd

Isn't that market-speak for "It's Broken"?

I could probably do $200 for the tape drives and the tapes, but not until next month. If you haven't found a buyer by the start of July, let me know.

Actually, I might be able to confirm this within the next few days.

$200 for the tape drive and tapes? What about shipping? Maybe I can go in for the SCSI controller also.

I have a few old IDE hard drives I could throw in if you want them. One is 5GB, the rest probably not large enough to even worry about.

ok, i've got 3 different scsi cards:

~isa adaptec AHA-1520B
~pci adaptec 2940uw (40 mb/s trans)
~pci dpt 80 mb/s trans (have to pick up tommorrow and will give specs.)

i'll trade the 5 gig for one of these cards! (i really have to get some drive space for my junk)

i know the tape drive is under warrenty and will attempt to look up the cards so u can get the best one.

-as far as shipping goes we can COD or paypal-

Okay, let's finalize this.

How about this:

1. I paypall you $210.

2. You ship the tape drive (UPS Ground or whatever's cheaptest would be fine) and one of the SCSI cards (one of the PCI's: I avoid ISA like the plauge.)

3. When I get the drive, I ship the old HDD to you. I don't have any small boxes, so I'll use the box you ship the drive in.

Sound fair?

E-mail me craig@bsu-hog.org if you want.

I don't see any mail from you. Most likely, I accidently deleted it along with the morning spam. E-mail me at cmcpher@ipa.net, just in case my mail server ate the mail the first time, and put something non-spam-like in the subject to make sure I notice. Sorry about that.

Okay, I got that one. And I figured out why the mail server was down. Anyway, my Paypall address is a PO Box, if you think it would be cheaper to ship UPS Ground than through the postal service, let me know and I'll e-mail you a street address, but I don't remember it offhand.

I haven't decided yet, but I may actually be putting the tape drive in an NT4 server. I have an NT4 server and a Linux server; the Win box does fileserving and PDC, the Linux box does everything else. I thought I might as well put the tape drive in the box that has the most stuff to back up, and then have it grab anything off the Linux box that needs backed up. Haven't decided for sure, though.

Thanks a bunch.
