It would be nice to have ALT text for foders images indicating hot topics and topics with new replies since last visit.
Like N for red folders and H for burning ones.
This way, links and lyx users would have better user experience.

Yup, I agree. Also, there is the ADA compliance issue...

Wouldn't it be great to have the first 100% ADA compliant Linux help website?

Not to mention the fact that not having alt attributes in <IMG> tags is in violation of the HTML 4.01 Transitional standard.

I agree... am BIG on compliance when it comes to ADA & the sites I do... Sometimes it means you have to give up that really qool feature, or create an alternate version, but it's for the better of everyone... Accessibility options for LINUX are evolving, so it would be safe to say that visually impaired persons will be finding their way here more frequently. The lack of alt tags was immediately apparent to me the first time I ever visited here, but I always thought it was a limitation of the UBB or something...

Also helpful for handhelds...
