How about an option to see what the post looks like before you post it? This will let you see if anything funky happened to the formatting or UBB code.

thats what you can edit for.

its only really useful at places like /. or k5 where you can't edit posts, and have to get it right the first time, or deal with it.

Yeah... Although I'd prefer having the ability to edit my posts after the fact over a preview feature. Not being able to edit is one of the things that's given rise to all of the people who post stuff about grammar and spelling mistakes, or minor oversights, on /. and K5.

Sterling: Oh man, that pisses me off. Especially on K5 when people explain how they voted -1 because of some stupid grammatical or spelling errors. As long as I can read it, it's ok.

I remember one time someone posted a story with no capitalization. While this was obviously not just some simple oversight, people *****ed about it way too much. I didn't even notice it until it was mentioned in the comments.
