Manual NIC Config NHF

Could someone write up a NHF for manually configuring a NIC and multiple NICs.

I keep seeing the linuxconf directions but I still have problems.

I'll add this on to my "stuff-to-do" file, but that's a LARGE file, so don't expect anything soon :)

I finally got two cards working, but I'd still like to know how to set one up manually.

ifconfig eth0 10.1.2.34 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 10.1.2.255

Substitute eth0 for whatever nic you want. Of course, you have to have either kernel support or the module loaded first.
