I have been using Microsoft Access at school to create databases and have just started delving into databases on Linux.
Is there a program similar to Access which runs on Linux? I am currently been using MySQL because it seems to be the most popular and while I don't mind typing in the script to create the database, I found that Access was much easier to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yah, it's called Access and it runs on Wine or VMWare or Win4Lin... Maybe.

Seriously, it's better to learn MySQL than Access, and even though you're having some difficulties, it will be worth it.

Try PgAccess and PostgreSQL. It seems to be almost exactly what you're looking for.

PgAccess: http://flex.ro/pgaccess/
PostgreSQL: http://www.postgresql.org/
