ACE Programming

Gents, I am in a world of hurt. My instructor (Design Patterns in OO Programming Class) has volunteered me as a group leader for our final project of the semester, which will involve making a "service configurator" along the lines of inetd, but fortunately with only 2 services - which we have to write. The gist of this message is, has anyone used the Adaptive Communication Environment (ACE) before? If so, can you recommend a good, clear tutorial? TIA,
