New Sourceforge CVS Question

I am about to upload my program into CVS but I'm unsure exactly which directory I should be in when I enter the initial command.

if my program in say directory

code

should I go into that directory and enter the command or should I be outside it?

It's the first upload? I think you just upload it to /cvsroot/
