I am kinda new to linux programming.
I am using IBM viavoice to do voice TTS
I have a Redhat 7.0 system. I am having difficulties setting up glibc 2.2.3 , it won't compile properly.
I ran configure ok with linuxthreads addon
when I type make, it aborts half way thru all the time??? What could be wrong.
Is glibc-common required to upgrade my glibc 2.1.96 to 2.2.3??
I tried to use the RPMs provided by Redhat.
I ran rpm -ivh xxx , the hash mark comes out but it doesn't seem to have done anything, I don't see anything new in my system....
I think I have trouble with a lot of RPMs doing the same thing.....
Does using 7.1 rpms have anything to do with it?
I can compile and run glibc 2.2 ok but how do I how if the system is using the new or old glibc???
Where do I check the version number currently in use???
Help help help.... I am going crazy T_T
please help me.......
