help with simple bash script

I'm trying to build a bash script that will download and then display the daily Sherman's Lagoon comic.

The comics are added each day, for example last today's url would be
http://www.slagoon.com/dailies/SL02.06.20.gif



#!bin/sh

date '+%y.%m%d'

wget http://www.slagoon.com/dailies/SL02.06.20.gif

xli SL02.06.20.gif


btw, could this form of getting the daily comic without a webbrowser make them mad?
