Any GPG or PGP user here ?

How can I use either of them with Netscape ?

I just figured out how easy it is to send an e-mail with false authentication.
Like SantaClaus@sun.com instead of me.

I have an exam on networking and network security in two days, so just studying the staff http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Anyway, please tell me which e-mail client you are using and why ?

Any netscape GPG or PGP users here ?

I use GnuPG frequently with mutt, but not with Netscape. You may need to switch to a better mail client if you want support for GnuPG / PGP.

definitely, mutt is the way to go.

Would you guys be kind enough to point out the benefit of mutt as opposed to any other e-mail client ?
emacs or pine or Netscape ?

Looking forward to the reply !

mutt (and some other well written email clients) actually integrate with GnuPG/PGP. For instance, mutt will automatically check the signatures on all incoming PGP/GPG signed mail. When you're sending mail, mutt gives you a bunch of options - e.g. 'encrypt, sign, encypt + sign', etc. You can also tell mutt to default to one of these - for instance, to always PGP sign outgoing mail. mutt can remember your passphrase so you don't need to type it over and over again. mutt can mail your public key to someone automatically.

Off the top of my head, that's how mutt integrates with GPG/PGP. Plus, mutt is just the best mailer I've tried, even without considering GnuPG.

XFMail (http://xfmail.slappy.org/) integrates nicely with either PGP or GnuPG. It gives you a ****load of options and you can set up multiple accounts.

Of course, I use GnuPG (http://www.gnupg.org/download.html).
