Does anyone here use a Windows C Compiler? A farily new one (Not TC 2.01) and not DJGPP? Cgiwin or whatever its called sounds cool but I'd rather use another one.

Hmm, actually I'm gonna try Borlands Command Line Tools thing and hope that works.

I've been using it for a few years now and it's the best IDE/compiler combination there is. Plus the IDE is open source (and it uses the mingw compiler, which is also open source).

Radar: How much you want for Builder?

I'll take what you think is fair. I never used it in my class. We used turbo c instead, so it's taking up space. I figured I'd at least try to get something back.

I would suggest... Hold on.

OK, I'd suggest using Microsoft Visual Studio. It seems better at making smaller, faster executables than Borland's C++ Builder.

Since this is a Linux board how about: www.cygwin.com (http://www.cygwin.com)

If you download XEmacs for windows, you've got gcc and xemacs and you can pretend you're using Linux ;-)

I believe that Borland C++ 5 is available for download at their site. You have to buy the IDE, but I believe that the compiler engine is free. Anyone care to correct me, or am I right in this?
