Greetings,

Here at school, we have a Win 2000 Internet Sharing/Filtering Proxy that connects all the computers together. Is there a way I can get around the filter so I can check my E-mail?

Thanks,
Ben

Ben,
can you be more specific. are you trying to get to a web server (mail.*.*.*). if that's so many admininstrator cut all sorts of connections to this kind of server because of Hotmail's viruses spreading capacity.

tell me more....

I'm trying to get into Hotmail through their website ( http://www.hotmail.com ). If there is another means, I'd be happy to try that.

uh, maybe hotmail is blocked for a reason and you shouldn't be accessing it?

Ben,
that's what I thought. the administrator must have blocked any web mail address, i.e yahoo, hotmail, netscape...
there is not much you can do either then set your client to read the messages as a POP server.

keep me posted

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work at my school. They've blocked everything they could think of :(

Roberto:
I already tried that, it doesn't work :(.

Looks like I just have to wait till I get home to check my mail.

Oh well, thanks everyone for your time and effort.
