quick question

hi, I own the domain example.com. my computers name is comp. When I set the hostname, should I set it as comp.example.com, or just comp? If it is just comp, where do I tell linux what domain it belongs to so that things like my smtp server (postfix) knows that this is the domain its on.

yes set it to comp.example.com
postfix will know the domain is example.com
