Hi all,
I have just installed Redhat 7.0 on my machine at work and need to access our NT4 server where we have shared directories on. I can ping everything on the network and can access the internet via this server so I know that I am connected. Other machines can ping me also but can not see me in network neighbourhood. I also have a printer on this machine that works locally but can't be seen accross the network. Could one of you gurus please tell me what I need to do to get this working.

TIA

You will probably want to use NFS and or samba to share information from Linux to NT. I prefer using samba -- only because it is native to Windoze. It is very easy to get working once you understand how you want to implement. There is a ton of good documentation on both. I would recommend reading the NHF on samba. Then goto www.samba.org (http://www.samba.org) to gather more info. I would also recommend reading a good book on networking linux -- Running Linux by O'Reilly is my bible.

Hope this helps.
