I am trying to use one computer for both a web server and an email server. My compnay would like two different ip external adresses to be utilized. How is this best acomplished. Would I use ifconfig? thanks

Yes, ifconfig does that, but to have it configured automatically upon reboot you need to edit some files... You may have a GUI program available to help you.(or is that hinder??) Once you have it running with ip-aliasing, most services can be told through its conf file to listen on one of the ips that is used the box.
