2 boxes and one router

hey!

this is probably the lamest question ever, but i'm absolute newbie when it comes down to configuring linux (redhat 7.1 in my case).

what i have:

linksys router
win2k box
redhat71 box

win2k can see local network and internet
redhat box can see only local network and can't see the internet

i can ping router, and win2k box from, but any site on the web is unreachable (says unresolved host name all the time)...

is there a common fix to that?

i have the exact setup you have although i had no probs getting both machines to see the internet. have you setup the linux machine to accept its ip from the lynksys dchp?

oh... i see... i seem to have found the problem... but now sendmail take about 5 minutes to start, which is very annoying :\

come to think about it
my sendmail behaves the same way
lol....good thing linux don't need the constant rebooting anyways.
